Our Rooms and cottages

We have nine comfortable bedrooms and two self-catering cottages, all set within the peaceful grounds of the Culden Faw Estate. Whether you’re here for a romantic escape, a walking weekend, or a longer stay in the Chilterns, you’ll find a calm and welcoming place to rest. Our rooms combine classic country comfort with modern touches. Expect superb beds with high-quality linen, thoughtful details, and a quiet setting just steps from the village and the river.

Superior Rooms

Our three Superior rooms offer a little more space and character. Each features a Super King bed (some with an additional single bed), a comfortable seating area, and a well-appointed bathroom with bath and shower. These rooms are ideal if you’d like a bit more room to relax, or if you’re travelling with a child or friend.
Featured rooms:
Henley Hill – Our largest Superior room with space for three guests.
Cannonwood – A calm and spacious room with garden views.
Long Innings – Features a beautiful roll-top bath.

Standard Rooms

Our five Standard rooms are thoughtfully designed and full of character. Each has a comfortable King or Super King bed, crisp linen, and a private bathroom.
These rooms offer excellent value and are perfect for couples or solo travellers looking for a peaceful base in the Chilterns.
Featured rooms:
Pallbach and Chestnut – Both with Super King beds and a bath with shower.
Reservoir – A bright room with a bath and shower.
The Pit and Blackbush – Cosy rooms with King beds and walk-in showers.
The Seat – Accessible Room. The Seat is our accessible groundfloor bedroom, designed with comfort and ease of access in mind. It features a Super King bed, a walk-in shower, and is suitable for guests with reduced mobility. Like all our rooms, it has crisp linen, a comfortable bed, and everything you need for a relaxing stay.

Self-Catering Cottages

For those who prefer a little more independence, we have two charming self-catering cottages located within the grounds. Both cottages have their own kitchens, living areas, and private bathrooms. They offer the comfort of staying at the pub with the flexibility of self-catering.
Oakengrove sleeps up to 6 guests. Features a King bed, a double bed, and a double sofa bed. Perfect for families or groups of friends.
Hollowood sleeps up to 4 guests. Features a King bed, a single bed, and a single sofa bed. Ideal for smaller families or couples wanting extra space.
